SPECIAL AIR FARES FROM AIRLINES

Delegates can’t make an online booking but will have to call up and visit their nearest Emirates Office and quote reference E/DXB/24/09 and mention about ICDDT. They will also be required to show proof about their involvement with the conference.


LANGUAGE

The Conference will take place in English and no simultaneous translation will be provided.


CLIMATE

Dubai has a mild climate in February and temperatures range between 10°C- 20°C.
Rainfall is possible.


BADGES

All participants, accompanying persons and exhibitors are kindly requested to wear their badges during the conference in order to be admitted to the venue and other scheduled activities.


BANKING AND EXCHANGE

The official currency in Dubai is Dirhams (AED/Dhs).
Banking hours are Sunday to Thursday 08:00 - 14:00. Weekends and all afternoons closed.
Automated cash dispensers are located outside every bank and other areas and cash can be withdrawn 24 hours a day.
Foreign currency may be changed at banks, hotels, airports and in exchange offices.
All major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops.


LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

The organizers are not liable for any injury or damage involving persons and property during the conference. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.


VISA REQUIREMENTS


Participants are requested to check with the Dubai Consulate in their home country or with their travel agency for visa requirements. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.

Travel to Dubai is now very easy with the introduction of a VISA ON ARRIVAL facility for 33 nationalities:

The visa will be stamped directly in a passport at the port of entry and will be valid for 60 days.
GCC residents can also visit Dubai without applying in advance for a visa.
For all other citizens the following applies:
A visa must be obtained prior to arrival in the UAE.

ON ARRIVAL

On arrival at the airport, visitors who have applied for a visa should collect the original visa permit at the specially designated desks located at the end of the Arrivals Tunnel before taking the escalators to the passport control desks.


TRANSPORTATION IN THE CITY

Dubai offers an efficient and modern public transport system consisting of buses and taxis.


BUS:


There are scheduled buses available at bus stations which are conveniently located all over Dubai.


Airport Information and Travel to DUBAI:

Located 5 km southeast from the city, Dubai International Airport is a 15-minute drive from the Dubai Men's College.


TAXIS:

Taxis are available outside the arrival gate.

The journey to the city centre takes approximately 20 minutes depending on the traffic and costs approximately AED 40.


EXHIBITION:

A commercial exhibition will take place within the framework of the Conference.
