Influence Of Psychological Support On A Condition Of A
HIV - Infected

Goal of study: Effect of psychological
support on the HIV infected person.
Aim of study: Determination of the psychological condition of HIV
infected person during the interview with the doctor, psychological
support and its influence on psychological condition of HIV infected
person.
Study involved HIV infected patients from the Centre of HIV and
AIDS in the Republic of Uzbekistan. 102 people were chosen randomly
in the age range between 22 and 47 years old and diagnosed with
HIV in the range between 0.5 and 8 years. Diagnose confirmed by
clinical and laboratory methods

Control group included 10 healthy individuals.
99% infected patients was much stressed, when informed about their
diagnosis. 30% were having suicidal ideation. 98% hide their diagnosis.
99% lose their social adaptation ability. 98% became very anxious
with poor self control. 95% lost their self confidence.
Psychological support to increase self confidence was effective
in 95% patients during the first consultative interview.
Conclusion: HIV infected people compare to healthy people face a
decrease in their adaptation abilities, increase anxiety, lose self
confidence, decrease in self control and memory. Consultative interviews
and teaching of different psychological methods affect the condition
and behavior of HIV patient.
