Penicilline Induced Hoigne -Syndrom in 21 -Year-Old Female Patient.

This report was received from the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency of Montenegro (CALIMS) via Regulatory Team West Balkan on 2009-Septembre-02. A 21-year-old female patient after 4 injection (im) Pancillin 1 600 000 IU experienced weakness, nausea and tinnitus (Hoigne -Syndrom).


Suspect drug is Penicillin 800 000 IU, No. 50, powder for suspension for injection (INN: benzylpenicillin sodium, procaine benzylpenicillin), the patient suffers of Tonsillitis acuta. 3 months ago, she occasionally has swelling and pain in small joints.

The patient was receiving therapy 4 days from: 2009-July-20 to: 2009-July-23.
