At 59-Year-Old Female Patien Ticlopidine Hydrochloride Induced Pancytopenia

At 59-year-old female patient, initials M.O., four days after introduced of Ticlodix (INN: ticlopidine hydrochloride) there was a development of coma state which preceded the weakness in the extremities.

Daily doses are 2 film-coated tablets/24 hours. Therapy dates: from 2005-August-01 to 2005-September-10. The patient was hospitalized and diagnosis was pancytopenia that is laboratory confirmed. Ticlodix (INN: ticlopidine hydrochloride) is excluded from therapy and the patient was recovered.

Explanation of physician who reported of ADR:

The patient was unaware of possibility of ADR reporting and for that reason, ADR application comes with a large delay.
