Cardiovascular Drug Design and Discovery

Cardiovascular disease is a major cause of morbidity and mortality, and its health and socio-economic impacts will continue to increase in the coming decades as the global population ages. Understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of this complex disease is critical for the development of targeted strategies for its effective treatment and prevention. The Cardiovascular stream at the First International Conference on Drug Design and Discovery will provide an outstanding opportunity for the interactive exchange of emerging developments in cardiovascular target validation, drug discovery and design amongst an international audience representing university/hospital-based basic science and clinical research, industrial R&D and biobusiness.
